Wireless Telecommunications Outside Plant Enclosures
As wireless telecommunications technologies advance, providers need speed and flexibility to meet continually evolving network infrastructure demands. Consumer demand for data-rich applications and network reliability drives requirements for additional network infrastructure through various backhaul means. Purcell Systems® responds with highly configurable, thermally managed outdoor rack enclosure solutions that address all power, thermal, acoustic, cabling, and quality requirements. Pre-engineered components can be configured to exactly match desired equipment mounting space and allow for pay as you grow technology. Purcell Systems FlexSure, RAC and SiteFlex outside plant enclosures are used in 3G/4G network implementations such as Wi-Fi/WiMAX and LTE.

Wireless Backhaul
As wireless networks evolve from voice-only services to broadband data services, there is an increasing need for transport bandwidth to cell sites. The additional speeds and capacity provided by 4G wireless networks (LTE and WiMAX) put additional strains on wireless backhaul networks and the carriers providing these services. Given that most cell sites will continue to support GSM 2G and UMTS 3G networks for many years, the addition of LTE means backhaul transport carriers need to implement systems that can support both native T1 TDM services and Ethernet services.
Purcell Systems outside plant enclosures accommodate wireless backhaul applications, including copper-fed, fiber-fed, and microwave in durable equipment enclosures with options for surge and lightening protection, battery backup, power management, and complete climate control, for equipment deployments in indoor and outdoor environments.
LTE-Long Term Evolution
The goal of LTE is to increase the capacity and speed of wireless data networks. The combination of LTE’s increased spectral efficiency and flexibility, added capacity, and simpler network architecture results in a cost-effective value proposition.
Purcell Systems outside plant enclosures accommodate WiMAX wireless radios in durable equipment enclosures with options for surge protection, battery backup, power management, and complete climate control, for equipment deployments in indoor and outdoor environments.
Wi-Fi/WiMAX
The bandwidth and range of WiMAX technology is ideal for mobile broadband connectivity and also serves as a wireless alternative to cable and digital subscriber line (DSL) for last mile
broadband access.
Purcell Systems outside plant enclosures accommodate WiMAX wireless radios in durable equipment enclosures with options for surge protection, battery backup, power management, and complete climate control, for equipment deployments in indoor and outdoor environments.
